PHOTO WALK TO RELIEVE CREATIVE DROUGHT

So everyone in my world knows I have been struggling creatively for the last few months.  I've been trying to rediscover my "mojo" but to no avail. My boss has suggested I force myself to take a break and partake in some small creative pursuits. Last night I asked my man friend to accompany me on a "photo walk" and thankfully he was keen. We made our way to High Park in Toronto and had a really good night shooting together. Here are some images from our endeavour. I apologize, he makes a great subject, so his mug intermittently sneaks in there. 

A LOVELY DAY OF PHOTOGRAPHY

Last week I had the exciting task of accompanying my lovely colleague Emma to photograph Toronto's construction scene. Work recently purchased a lovely new DSLR, so I was thrilled at the opportunity to test it out. It has been some time since I shot on digital, so I was mildly nervous. It was a great day. We were given access to several rooftop locations and enjoyed seeing the city from a different perspective.

I was to document texture, shapes and patterns, along with typical construction sites. We received lots of waves from the friendly construction community and it reminded me how much I miss being out there taking photos.
