In Love... with a camera

Now that we're on easter break at Uni, and been given a new photo brief (yay!), I am desperate to shoot when I go back to Canada. It breaks my heart I can't borrow my favourite camera for this assignment... so I've been seriously on the hunt for one of these bad boys - although they are far FAR out of my current financial capabilities. If anyone finds one of these somewhere on the sidewalk, or knows of one that is sitting somewhere unloved, I would be happy to give it a proper home.

Carol Mania

This has kind of turned into a photo blog!

I scanned the photos of Carol on the great Nikon scanners at Uni and without technical difficulties/destruction. I am missing a strong one that I left on the school computer.

Not sure which one to use for the portrait assignment, any suggestions?

more pentax bliss..

After breaking the Uni scanner and having my negs stuck in it for a day or so, I finally got them back but haven't had time/bit apprehensive about using the scanner again. So here's a rubbish scan from my printer for now!

Here are the proper scans after they repaired the scanner! These are taken along the path beside the Thames that runs behind our complex. Oh and one of my lovely housemate Mimi + I on my birthday.

Happy Times.

Revisiting my high school photography class days, I relearned how to develop my own black & white negatives the other day at Uni. I borrowed Emilia's holga and shot a roll of 120 for the specific purpose of processing them. I went a little crazy with the double exposure, seeing as how it was an easy option on that camera. This is how the negatives came out (these are just a quick scan on my printer so you won't get the full effect).

And here are the properly scanned versions:
