Another blog.

I apologize this blog has been stagnant for some time. Let me explain. We are currently working on our final project - a product to be sold in our end of year Pop-Up Shop to raise money for our degree show. Part of the procedure is to contribute (and record our production progress) on a blog community.

A Canadian wedding.

I went home for the easter break - well to Cuba for a week to watch the lovely miss Veronica get hitched and then home to visit friends + fam and attend my gorgeous Auntie Tanya's nuptials.

I am going to post the photos from the event on here in batches so everyone can have a peek. I took some for myself and some on demand. Here is Batch 1.




Sorry to those who have their eyes closed, someone had their eyes closed it pretty well every photos and I was working fast, so I just opted for the best overall. More to come!

PHOENIX + TWO DOOR CINEMA CLUB

I always get a bit of a high coming out of a gig. Last night, for my fabulous housemate/ami Mimi's birthday we went to see Phoenix and Two Door Cinema Club. It was phenomenal. I made a couple short videos on my crappy camera (too hard to keep sneaking in the chunky DSLR). Happy times.

In Love... with a camera

Now that we're on easter break at Uni, and been given a new photo brief (yay!), I am desperate to shoot when I go back to Canada. It breaks my heart I can't borrow my favourite camera for this assignment... so I've been seriously on the hunt for one of these bad boys - although they are far FAR out of my current financial capabilities. If anyone finds one of these somewhere on the sidewalk, or knows of one that is sitting somewhere unloved, I would be happy to give it a proper home.

Screenprinting!

Finally picked up my prints from the screenprinting induction I did last week. The process is basically choosing what you want to print/making it and printing it on transparency film. Next is coating your screen, exposing the transparency film onto the screen, giving it a wash, drying it in the oven and then you're ready to print! Choose your paint colours/materials (you can print on just about anything - the wall, wood, fabric.. sky is the limit).

I really fell in love with the whole idea of the Arts + Crafts movement so I thought I would print the motto for the society of designers which embodied the principles that hooked me.

Life + Times Update

I haven't really been posting much work as of late. We have been manic preparing for the end of term - I have my term assessment presentation tomorrow. I haven't had too many adventures to share. But this is a glimpse of what has been going down in my life.

Sony competition - Emilia and I didn't make the shortlist. Our idea was to have an interactive installation of life surrounded by music - lyrics embedded in daily activities.


The weather has been slowly sneaking in more gorgeous days. Antonia, Aaron and I went down to the park to take advantage of one particular doozy.


The Frightened Rabbit gig on the 10th was incredible!
